  1. Yeah. You actually discover some pretty amazing stuff doing it. Like for instance, did you know that it's explicitly prohibited to use Java to write programs for nuclear power plants?

  2. Okay apparently it's less "you're not allowed to do it" and more "we wash our hands of it if your shitty java code causes a meltdown" but still.

  3. I do. My favorite is Apple's iTunes, which about 2/3 of the way in (I'm not kidding) says, "IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

To avoid muscle, joint, or eye strain during video game play, you should always take frequent breaks from playing, and take a longer rest if you experience any soreness, fatigue, or discomfort. …" Hee. It's so cute they're concerned. In a Terms of Agreement.

My most despised is Facebook's, which seriously says: "For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos ("IP content"), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook ("IP License")."

I mean wtf?! They get to use anything that you post for anything they want?! *Transferable*??

It's stuff like that that keeps me reading them.

Your site is AWESOME. Thanks for all of these!
